Virgin-Dogs on a Train!

Virgin Trains contacted PetLondon Models with a very exciting job; six dogs and one snake would be taken on a train journey from London to Newark as part of their new advert, promoting Virgin’s pet friendly policy. Customers can bring up to two domestic animals with them on their Virgin Train journeys for no extra cost, so you can enjoy the festive adventures knowing your pets can be part of the fun.

The team assembled at Kings Cross, ready for their round trip to Newark. There was an wary morning meet and greet so all the animals, large and small could get acquainted and have a good sniff!

The train had a first class carriage reserved for the animals, making sure all the pets and their handlers were comfortable on their journey. PetLondon’s Animal handler Adam made sure the dogs were settled in and let them get used to their new and exciting surroundings before the shoot began.

The photoshoot included lots of fun tasks, including the dogs playing board games, reading the paper and enjoying the view from the train window. Other shots included four dogs sitting in a pod of four and enjoying the journey together. The dogs were even served some special food and beverages and had their tickets checked by a Virgin Trains Inspector.

Darcey watching the world go by

The dogs seemed very relaxed on their journey, particularly Quincy who looked right at home having a well deserved lie down on one of the tables and Darcey who especially ended the view from the window and watching the world go by.

There was also a non-canine on this shoot! Cleo the snake also did a great job showing that Virgin Train’s pet friendly policy is not just for dogs. Cleo is a Royal Python who is four foot long. She is very calm and enjoyed all the limelight.

Gym Bunnies for Virgin Active

Virgin Active approached PetLondon Models with an EGGcellent idea for Easter Weekend…They were looking for 8 “Gym Bunnies” to create an adorable viral video campaign. The brief we were given was that the bunnies were to have their run of a health club in East London one Sunday and would be both filmed and photographed during their “workout”.

We had just the perfect Rabbit Family to take part in this shoot that are experienced on set and in studios and have wonderful temperaments.

The rabbits all knew each other and got on well together which is a very important factor. They were accompanied by expert rabbit handler  to ensure that all their needs were met and that safety was paramount.

A total of eight furry friends attended the shoot, several Netherland Dwarfs (Bucks fizz, Kira, Bramble, Monte, Bubbles & Most) and even a Hare called Jerome who is 1 year old and very friendly and outgoing and has several best in shows under his belt. Jerome is an expert jumper and he has previously taken part in “rabbit jumping” competitions and displays.

The smaller bunnies took everything in their stride. They were more than happy to sniff out the equipment, test out the treadmill and jump around the gym mats. After all that fun, they were rewarded with a delicious bowl of kale-yum and healthy too!

The end video is absolutely delightful and sure to bring a smile. The shoot was a huge success and the client was very happy, commenting “Just to say a big thank you for yesterday – the rabbits were fantastic, the animals were so calm and very happy to pose!

River Island Shoot

River Island contacted PetLondon Models searching for some fresh faced furry talent this winter to promote their new collection online. With some specific breeds in mind, three gorgeous pooches were selected.

First was Harper. Harper is a bright eyed, rare Blue French Bulldog with an infectious personality.  She has done a number of photo shoots and is very comfortable & calm in-front of the camera.  She will sit, lie down, stay and is happy to be put into positions and stay there.  Used to the antics of a busy set, she has great concentration & ability to focus on her handler. Her stunning coat colour is shown off to its full potential in front of the camera.

Unknown-2

The next talented dog selected was Afghan Hound, Iraida. Iraida is very well trained and used to being in front of the camera. She is calm and a pro at standing still or being around other dogs. For this particular shoot she enjoyed hanging out with some of the child models who were also in the scene with her.

River Island

Last but not least, the very lovely West Highland Terrier, Poppy. She has an excellent temperament and loves attention. She also enjoyed playing with the kids on set and dressed up in her glamorous pink bow.poppy

All three did a fantastic job and had a great time. You can see some more of their work on the River Island website.
